Yo! My ‘03 Cherry H2 just turned 43k miles today!

-Bought my H2 mid March2024 😃 -Ran fine for a week or two. Battery died. -Bought a new battery. 😅 -Ran fine for about a week. -Battery died. 🙂‍↕️ -Paid (2) mobile technician for diagnostics. -tech 1= air bag sensors (ABS) -tech 2= it maybe factory stereo, definitely instrument cluster & air bag sensors 😢 -tech 2 offered to remove/reinstall instrument cluster for $170 after I have it repaired. -I removed it myself, in like 15 minutes -I now trust nearly nobody, & the H2 is sitting in the driveway. -gonna disconnect On Star & test. Hopefully that works. If not, find stereo amplifier, disconnect. -Trucks beautiful & sits in the driveway with battery disconnected. -If nothing above works, I’m selling & buying a 1998 Toyota Corolla.

Price. Towing. Right now not a replacement. No oil changes no oil leaks that would be nice. I have one of my H2s pretty off road ready but it would be 119k for a new ev replacement. I didnt buy an h2 until they were 16 years old maybe the EV will drop that much lol. Too long away to think about. I keep wondering how the ac and heaters compare. In summer 100 degees. Or 0 degrees. Everything running off the battery.

I finally fixed my h2. let sit 3 weeks and it still started. Removed onstar...and the trailer hitch fuse. And the main culprit was the key cylinder was staying on when key was removed.

Great teaching in your video! Helped me accomplish this today. I used a dremel on the cutout since the plastic was too much for my utility knife. Any reason why those four large nuts need to be reinstalled at the top of the original bumper? Super job!

I have a 2004 H2 as well. Did you ever upgrade the bottom daytime running lights (aka fog lights)? Everything I am finding out is that all of the aftermarket fog lights are too small.

Thanks for the info on the battery drain had a long problem chasing the battery drain on my H2, so I rip it out & no more battery drain once again thanks for the advice.

Most likely was a bad BCM Hummers are well known for having bad BCM because of the position they’re located in underneath the cluster in the dashboard. Hummers are well known for water permeating into the vehicle especially the front dashboard area. Because of this that causes the BCM to be damaged. Guaranteed that was your problem.

I've always wanted an H2, but always avoided them, mostly because of the gas mileage. Now, I'm at a place financially, where I'm not concerned with gas mileage, and the first thing I did was start shopping for a low mileage H2.

I’m not saying it’s not possible. But I have owned several old gm’s never upgraded onstar. If all the old onstars did this there would be a crap ton of gms eating batteries. Sounds like your gm was molested which caused a multitude of issues. If you are chasing a draw, take out fuses that you can track. Once you narrow down the block in question you can find the issue. Found a bad pigtail this way
